Artair: a handmade mohair teddy bear

Artair is a beautiful, 5-way jointed teddy bear, handmade in my studio in Sussex.

He is sewn from a dark caramel Steiff-Schulte mohair, with deep tan felt paw pads.

Artair has english glass eyes, and his claws are embroidered from black perle cotton, waxed for sheen and durability. His perle cotton nose has been finished with a uv resistant flexible varnish.

This characterful bear is filled with soft, traditional German wood wool to the limbs, giving him a vintage crisp feel. His head is firmly stuffed with woodwool, but his tummy is soft and cuddly, filled with wool fibre. 

Artair is weighted with recycled steel granules in the 'ankles' and tummy. This enables stable sitting, and gives a very comforting weight to hold the bear.

Artair weighs 375g and is 33 cms tall.

Please note that my bears are collectible items, and a such not intended for children under the age of 14.

Artair will arrive with a provenance tag to identify him as made by Jenny Gale of Winter's Den.

This bear will be dispatched within 3 days. Please note that if you are located outside the UK, your country may charge an import tax so please be prepared to pay should this happen (note below r.e. USA). I am sorry that I can no longer sell to the EU due to the difficulty for small businesses to comply with the GSPR regulations. Shipping to the USA now includes duties paid.
