Caspar: a handmade mohair polar bear

Caspar is one of a trio of polar bears made in November. Although all to the same pattern, each one is slightly different. Caspar is made from traditional Steiff-Schulte mohair, with ivory wool-felt paw pads. He is jointed with traditional cotter pin joints and has black English glass eyes.

Caspar is filled with high quality wool, and weighted with recycled steel pellets which are secured in a calico bag in the bears tummy. This polar bear has claws and muzzle stitched with black perle cotton, and has some light tinting to the inner ears, around the eyes and at the top of the nose.

Although this bear looks lovely standing tall, please do not expect him to stand easily - I managed to balance him for his photoshoot! If you want a standing display bear you may need to lean him against something.

Caspar weighs 465g and measures 35cms from ears to toes.

Caspar will arrive with a provenance tag to identify him as made by Jenny Gale of Winter's Den.

USA). I am sorry that I can no longer sell to the EU due to the difficulty for small businesses to comply with the GSPR regulations. Shipping to the USA now includes duties paid.
