Fettle: a handmade mohair teddy bear

Fettle is a beautiful, 5-way jointed teddy bear, handmade in my studio in Sussex.

This little bear is sewn from a coffee coloured Steiff-Schulte mohair, with deep tan woolfelt paw pads.

Fettle has english glass eyes, and muzzle and claw embroidery from black perle cotton, waxed for sheen and durability.

This characterful bear is filled with soft, traditional German wood wool to the limbs, giving him a vintage crisp feel. His head is firmly stuffed with woodwool, but his tummy is soft and cuddly and filled with a dense polyfibre. 

Fettle is weighted with recycled steel granules in the 'ankles' and tummy. This enables stable sitting, and gives a very comforting weight to hold the bear.

This bear weighs just over 500g and is 32cms tall.

Please note that my bears are collectible items, and a such not intended for children under the age of 14.

Fettle will arrive with a provenance tag to identify him as made by Jenny Gale of Winter's Den.

This bear will be dispatched within 3 days. Please note that if you are located outside the UK, your country may charge an import tax so please be prepared to pay should this happen.
